Weekly Message Principal Mitchell-Lewis

Hello, this is Mrs. Mitchell-Lewis from Pennycook Elementary School with important information from the 2017-2018 school year.

Welcome to the new year!!

Last week, kindergarten parents were contacted in order to schedule kindergarten testing for this Tuesday.  If you have not scheduled a time to test, please contact our office at (707) 556-8590 to set up a testing appointment.

New this year, we will be having a 1st-5th grade parent and student orientation on Monday, August 14, 2017 from 1pm-5pm.  In other words, we will not be posting classroom assignments this year. This orientation will allow you to fill out important paperwork and receive your child's class placement for the year.  Classroom placements will be given after documents have been filled out and returned to the Pennycook Staff. You will also be able to sign up our Pennycoook for PTA and to be a volunteer on campus.  All volunteers will have to be fingerprinted.

On Tuesday, August 15th, PreK and Kindergarten student and parent orientation will be at 2pm.  Our new Pennycook Scholars will meet their teacher and get to know their classrooms.  Parents will also fill out additional paperwork like library book check out permission slips and computer usage permission slips.

Have you moved?  Are you attending a different school this year?  Please let us know.  Call the office ASAP for further information and your next steps.

As always, working together, Pennycook Scholars are learners today and Leaders tomorrow.
