     Principal Mitchell-Lewis' Message

    Principal Mrs. Mitchell-Lewis

Hello, this is Mrs. Mitchell-Lewis from Pennycook Elementary School a Full Service and Leader in Me School where every child is capable of being a leader.

The PTA cookie dough fundraiser envelopes and money are due on Monday.  Envelopes can be turned in to teachers before 9 am and to the office anytime after 9 am until 4 pm on Monday.

Also on Monday, we have a PTA/ELAC/SSC meeting at 5:30 pm.  This is a voting meeting and therefore must have all voting members present.  Without the approval of voting members, the site is not allowed to spend allocated money.

If your student received a progress report, please return a signed copy to your child's teacher.

Our annual school-wide piano concert at Hogan Middle School will be on the 16th.  All students should dress in their best for the concert but wear comfortable tennis shoes. We will be walking to the Hogan Auditorium.  Permission slips had to be turned in by last Friday in order to be eligible to participate in the event.  Late slips will not be accepted.

Red Ribbon Week begins on October 22nd -October 31st. Our book fair also begins on Oct. 22. A list of events and special days will be sent home including the times and expectations for our Halloween Parade.

On Oct. 26th from 9-11am, we will have an opportunity for on-site fingerprinting for parents who would like to volunteer.

Did you know you can go online to add money to your student's lunch account?  Go to the Pennycook Website and click on My School Bucks.

Please note construction work continues on Rollingwood and Baywood.  Prepare for delays before and after school and remember to follow all traffic rules.  We want to keep all students safe.
As always, working together, Pennycook Scholars are Learners today and Leaders tomorrow.
